Hardy’s Studio

Hardy’s Studio is a cosy, charming studio apartment for two people located in the heart of the historic Downalong that is St Ives.

The property is located moments away from a selection of beaches, bars, restaurants and shops that make up the town. Hardy’s Studio has been cleverly designed to capture the nautical seaside vibes of St Ives, all the while ensuring you have enough room for you to relax at the end of a long day on the beach. Please continue reading for a more descriptive introduction to the property.

Pre-arrival

• Should you require a Tesco food delivery or for a satellite navigation system, the postcode is TR26 1NU. Please note: for a delivery please ensure it is booked to be delivered after 5pm when you are there to receive it.
• Hardy’s Studio is located on a narrow road with easy access by car.
• The nearest beaches are Porthgwidden and Bamaluz which are both located approx. 200-300 metres away. Porthmeor and The Harbour are located between 300-400 metres away.
• The main centre of St Ives is located 450 metres away.
• The nearest shop is located 250 metres away.
• The nearest supermarket (Tesco) is located 1 mile away.
• The bus and train stations are located ½ a mile away, plenty of taxi’s are available from both stations.
• The cottage is heated through individual radiotors.
• Quality bed linen and towels provided.
• All beds have mattress and pillow protectors.
• The Studio is strictly non-smoking.
• There are mains smoke detectors and a fire procedure in place.

Arrival and Parking

• Please be advised that arrival time is strictly 4pm onwards.
• You can unload outside of the Studio before parking.
• The Studio does not have parking, however, The Island Car Park is a public car park located 50 metres away at the end of the street. Directions to the car park will be emailed to you before your arrival.
• On arrival there will be a welcome basket including Cornish provisions, tea bags, coffee milk and fresh flowers, however, we recommend that you shop at Tesco, Carbis Bay on your way into St Ives.

Ground Floor

• There are 5 concreted steps down into the courtyard off Burrow Road.
• There is also a back door (leading off Island road) which has no steps and a level access.
• The outside bin is found to your left as your are stepping down into the courtyard.
• The Studio front door is  a wooden barn door that can be split open should you wish.
• There are 2 concreted steps down into the Studio where you will find yourself immediately in the open plan kitchen/lounge/diner.
• There is a comfortable two seater sofa directly ahead of you with a coffee table & floor standing lamp, the  TV is  hung on the wall opposite the sofa.
• There is a breakfast bar with stools and space for two people.
• The kitchen counter tops follow the wall around the left of the room and end up by the front door. There is plenty of cupboard space.
• The kitchen houses all the the usual mod cons such as a NEFF washer/dryer under the kitchen countertop, a small integrated dishwasher and an under counter fridge which is ¼ freezer and ¾ fridge, oven and induction hob.
• There is plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware for 2 guests and we will provide you with tea towels, oven gloves, enough bin liners, dishwasher and clothes washing tablets to get you started.
• The counter height is 90cm.
• Through to the back of the Studio where you will find the double bedroom, with bedside lamps and cabinets.
• A SMART TV is hung up on the wall
• Adjacent to the bedroom is the ensuite shower where you have a toilet, a basin and a shower.

Outside

• The property has a small front courtyard which is shared with Hardy’s Cottage. There is a table and two chairs for your use.

Departure

• Check-out is strictly by 9am.
• On departure, one set of keys are to be left inside the property and the other set are to be returned to the key safe.
• You are asked to leave the cottage clean and tidy, any unreasonable additional cleaning required may be charged for.
