1 Ship Aground, Harbour Front Apartment

Introduction

Ship Aground is a Harbour front apartment situated in the most central location of any of our Cherished portfolio with incredible views.

We aim to meet the needs of all our guests, however, the apartment is unsuitable for wheelchair users as despite it being set on one floor, there is a narrow granite staircase up to the property. Ship Aground is located on the Harbour front, from which there is level access on a cobbled road to the shops, restaurants and beaches.

The apartment is set on one floor. The front door leads to the lounge area with dining table for 3, the family bathroom is on the right-hand side, as is the double bedroom. Through a carpeted hallway is the small kitchen and the single bedroom is set off from here.

Pre-arrival

• Should you require a Tesco food delivery, or for a satellite navigation system, the postcode of ‘1 Ship Aground, Wharf Road, St Ives’ is TR26 1PU. Please note: for a Tesco delivery, you must ensure it is booked to be delivered after 4pm when you are there to receive it.
• 1 Ship Aground is located on the Harbour front, it is a slightly narrow cobbled street with access by car. We recommend you unload your car outside but please note there is no parking with this property.
• The nearest beach is outside the front door on the Harbour. Bamaluz, Porthgwidden and Porthmeor are located between 200 and 400 metres away.
• The nearest shop is around 20 metres away.
• The nearest large supermarket (Tesco) is located 2.3 mile away.
• The bus and train stations are located 0.5 miles away, plenty of taxis are available from both stations.
• The apartment has gas central heating; guests can control the timing of this.
• The duvets and pillows are manmade non-allergenic with quality bed linen and towels.
• All beds have mattress and pillow protectors.
• The cottage is strictly non-smoking.
• There are mains smoke detectors and a fire procedure in place.

Arrival and car parking facilities

• Keys are located in the key safe, full details and the safe code are provided prior to your holiday.
• Please be advised that arrival time is strictly 4pm onwards.
• You can unload outside the apartment before parking.
• On arrival there will be a welcome hamper including Cornish provisions, tea bags, milk and fresh flowers to get you started, however, we recommend that you shop at the superstores on your way into St Ives either Lidl, M&S (Hayle), or Tesco (Carbis Bay).

Entrance & other information

• 1 Ship Aground is accessed up a narrow granite staircase with a handrail, there are 4 steps up then a gap followed by 10 further steps up to the main porch entrance. It is then level access from the front door that leads to the property which is all set across one floor.
• There are wooden beams throughout the property. The lowest at 180cm.
• The flooring throughout is carpet, bar the bathroom and kitchen which is lino tiling.
• This property does not provide any additional children’s safety equipment.

1 Ship Aground

• The front door leads into a small hallway with the family bathroom on the right.
• The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, sink, heated towel rail and WC.
• The hallway has a storage cupboard with hoover, ironing board, iron, brush, airer plus the electricity box which is charged by a meter key and the fuse box is in here.
• The lounge area has a 2-seater sofa plus 2 single armchairs. There is a coffee table, TV with cabinet, the Wi-Fi is located here plus a DVD player and small selection of DVDs.
• There is a dining table in this space which seats 3.
• The double master bedroom is set directly to the right of the lounge, there are two bedside tables with lamps, a small wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is a small step up into the head height double window.
• The lounge area leads down a hallway, which is host to an Indesit Washer Dryer.
• The kitchen has a 4 hob Stove double oven, under counter fridge with small freezer shelf, a microwave, kettle, toaster and sink plus there is enough cutlery and crockery for 3 guests and there is a smoke alarm fitted here.
• The single bedroom is situated just off from the kitchen area with a single bed, Samsung TV, a bedside table with lamp, a selection of books plus space to hang clothes.

Outside

• As with most properties in St Ives, 1 Ship Aground does not have a garden.

Departure

• Check-out is strictly by 9am.
• On departure, one set of keys are to be left inside the property and the other set are to be returned to the key safe.
• Please leave the cottage clean and tidy; any unreasonable additional cleaning required may be charged for.
