Recently refurbished to a very high standard with new fully fitted kitchen. Seascape sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms ( 2 x doubles & a twin bedded room).
Seascape is a stunning 5 star Victorian house situated on Barnoon Terrace, affording the most spectacular views over St Ives and far out across the Atlantic Ocean to Godrevy Lighthouse and beyond.
Seascape is based in a great location in the higher part of St Ives allowing you to avoid the crowds if preferred or with direct steps down to Fore Street’s bustling shops and a moment’s walk from the Harbour, beaches and fabulous restaurants you have the best of both worlds. Seascape offers an exceptionally spacious accommodation sleeping up to six guests.
There are the added benefits of parking, alfresco dining, a sub-tropical garden and the house is equipped with all the normal mod cons including complementary WI-FI. This property does not provide any additional children’s safety equipment.

The perfect base for a large family group (aged 2 to 72!)

Introduction
Seascape is a beautiful house on a pedestrianised terrace overlooking the Harbour with panoramic views over St Ives bay. Seascape is located just above the town and access to the shops, restaurants and beaches is a short walk down hill.
We aim to meet the needs of all of our guests, however, due to the location and design layout of Seascape, it can prove difficult access for guests with limited mobility and the house is also sadly unsuitable for wheelchair users. If you do require a wheelchair friendly property, please contact the Cherished where we can best advise you.
The kitchen/diner and living room are located on the ground floor. The first floor hosts one king, one double and one twin bedroom as well as a bath and a shower room and lastly on the second floor there is a super king sized bedroom with phenomenal views across the bay. There is a good size sub-tropical garden to the front of the property and a courtyard area at the rear. There is parking for one car and a second space can be hired if required.
Pre-arrival
- Should you require a Tesco food delivery or for a satellite navigation system, the postcode is TR26 1JE. Please note: for a Tesco delivery please ensure it is booked to be delivered after 4pm when you are there to receive it.
- Seascape is located on a pedestrianised terrace at the front of the property so there is no passing traffic. There is a narrow access road to the rear of the property and the nearest public car park is approximately 200 metres away.
- The nearest beaches are: the Harbour (5 minute walk) accessed down a steep hill, Porthmeor (5-10 minute), Porthgwidden, and Bamaluz beaches are a 10-15 minute walk and Porthminster beach a 15 minute walk away.
- The nearest shop is located 100 metres away.
- The nearest supermarket (Tesco, Carbis Bay) is located 2.3 miles away.
- Quality linen and towels are provided.
- The house is strictly non-smoking.
- Sorry, no pets are accepted here!
- There are smoke detectors and a fire procedure in place.
Arrival and car parking facilities
- Keys are located in a key safe, full details and the safe code are provided prior to your holiday.
- Please be advised that arrival time is strictly 4pm onwards.
- There is one parking space located 40 metres away at the end of Barnoon Terrace. The size of the parking space is approximately 5 metres long by 2.5 metres wide. A second parking space is available on request and is located next to this space. The approximate dimensions are the same.
- On arrival there will be a welcome hamper including Cornish provisions, tea bags, milk, and fresh flowers, however, we recommend that you shop at one of the superstores on your way into St Ives either Lidl, M&S (Hayle) or Tesco (Carbis Bay).
Ground Floor
- There are three external entrances into the house and the front door is located on Barnoon Terrace. This is a pedestrian terrace with no motor traffic and there are 9 steps in two sections up to reach the front door.
- The back door is located on Barnoon Hill though a blue gate with 4 steps down to the back door and finally at the rear of the living room there are French doors leading to a small seating area.
- There are original wooden floorboards throughout the ground and first floors. The bathrooms are tiled. The first and second floor bedrooms are carpeted.
- The kitchen has a gas hob and electric oven, a mid-size dishwasher, a under worktop fridge and a separate under work top freezer, a microwave and a washer dryer.
- There is plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses for 6 guests and we will provide tea towels, an oven glove, enough bin liners and clothes and dishwashing tablets to get you started.
- The sink, hob and worktop height is 90cm.
- The kitchen and lounge/dining room are very adequately lit by spot lights.
- There is a large dining table suitable for 6 guests in the kitchen diner area.
- The lounge has a L-shaped sofa, matching swivel chair and other seating to seat up to 6 guests, a flat screen LCD TV, DVD with a small library of CDs, and DVDs.
- At the rear of the living room there is a further area including a large armchair, sideboard and an iPod docking station.
- In the living room there are privacy blinds to the front window and full length curtains at the rear.
- The kitchen has blinds to the main window.
- From the hallway there are 10 carpeted stairs up to the bathroom and shower room. The bathroom includes a full size shower bath, basin and WC. The shower room includes a shower enclosure, wash hand basin and WC. Both rooms have heated towel rails.
- There are a further 5 carpeted steps up to the bedrooms from the washing rooms.
First floor
- The king size bedroom has plenty of clothes storage with a chest of drawers and full size wardrobe. There is a full length mirror, a hairdryer and a privacy blinds for you whilst you are getting ready to enjoy a delicious meal in any one of St Ives’ restaurants. The window also has full length curtains to aid in getting the perfect darkness if you like to sleep in the pitch black! This room also has magnificent sea and Harbour views.
- The twin bedroom as two single (3’) beds, two bedside tables with lamps, a wardrobe with a chest of drawers, and hairdryer. There is also another full length mirror, a privacy blind for the window and floor length curtains. This room also has wonderful sea-views and overlooks the Harbour and bay.
- The double bedroom overlooks the rear courtyard and has two bedside tables with lamps, built-in wardrobe and shelving. There is a mirror and a hairdryer is provided.
- The landing includes a large chest of drawers and a mirror.
Outside
- Unusually with many properties in St Ives, Seascape has a lot of outside space.
- The gardens have a sub-tropical feel, stocked with interesting and unusual plants.
- The front garden is bisected by the pedestrian walkway. The part nearest the house has a terrace with an outside table and seating and stunning views.
- The lower front garden is accessed by a small gate and includes two seating areas to catch the sun at different times of the day. The lower garden includes a right of way to the house below.
- At the rear of the property there is a small enclosed courtyard area with a small table and two outside chairs. There is a small beach-hut style shed for storage of wet suits etc. and an outside cold water shower for washing down surfboards etc.
Parking
- The parking space is located approximately 40 metres from the house. The space measures 2.5 metres wide by 5 metres long.
Departure
- Check-out is strictly by 9am.
- One set of keys to be left inside the property and the other set of keys are to be replaced into the key safe.
- You are asked to leave the house clean and tidy, as any unreasonable additional cleaning required may be charged for.
