8 Hicks Court Access Statement

8 Hicks Court has been beautifully renovated to a bright, cosy space for the perfect seaside retreat. 8 Hicks Court is located on a level road with moderately level access to the shops, restaurants and beaches.

We aim to meet the needs of all our guests; however, 8 Hicks Court is unsuitable for wheelchair users. If you do require a wheelchair friendly property, please contact the Cherished where we can best advise you.

The downstairs is an open plan space with wooden flooring and lit with spotlights throughout. Upstairs is carpeted and boasts three spacious bedrooms and a large family bathroom.

Pre-arrival

• Should you require a Tesco food delivery or for a satellite navigation system, the postcode is TR26 1HS. Please note: for a delivery please ensure it is booked to be delivered after 4pm when you are there to receive it.
• 8 Hicks Court has parking located in Burrow Road – a 5 minute walk from the property.
• Porthmeor Beach is 50 metres away.
• The main center of St Ives is located 100 metres away.
• The nearest shop is located 100 metres away.
• The nearest supermarket (Tesco) is located 1 mile away.
• The bus and train stations are located ½ a mile away, plenty of taxi’s are available from both stations.
• The cottage has gas central heating, guests can control the timing of this.
• The duvets and pillows are manmade fibre with quality bed linen and towels.
• All beds have mattress and pillow protectors.
• The cottage is strictly non-smoking.
• The cottage does not allow pets.
• There are mains smoke detectors and a fire procedure in place.

Arrival and Parking

• Please be advised that arrival time is strictly 4pm onwards.
• You can unload outside of the cottage before driving to the allocated parking space. The space will accommodate a vehicle up to 5m long.
• On arrival there will be a welcome basket including Cornish provisions, tea bags, coffee milk and fresh flowers, however, we recommend that you shop at Tesco, Carbis Bay on your way into St Ives.

Ground Floor

• There are two external entrances into 8 Hicks Court, however, the door leading on the end of the Digey (St Eia) is not to be used as an access door.
• The main front door is found roughly 20 metres up the cobbled street called ‘The Digey’ and then the first alley way on your right and 8 Hicks Court is located at the end of the alley.
• The wheelie bin is kept at the top of the alley way and is clearly labelled. Refuse and recycling instructions are found inside the property.
• The Front door to the property is a baby blue stable door, this is not in use.
• The location and details of the key safe is provided once your balance is paid in full.
• One step up in through the front door and you are in the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner.
• The dining area is found to your left, there is a built in bench and 2 chairs, plenty of seating for six people.
• The lounge is straight ahead with two sofa’s for comfort, a small electric stove, a footstool, a coffee table and a wall mounted television.
• The electric stove has a small control panel on the wall to the left and is self explanatory. The stove is 50cm high.
• There is a small utility
• The kitchen is found to your left and houses all the necessary mod cons such as Krups coffee machine (please provide your own pods), nespresso milk steamer, built in microwave and oven, indesit washer/dryer and a slim fit dishwasher.
• There is a secret cutlery drawer at the end of the kitchen!
• There is a small WC at the bottom of the stairs.
• There are 9 carpeted steps upstairs.

First Floor

• Once on the first floor landing the first bedroom is to your left which is a double. There is a chest of drawers, wall mounted bedside lights, a wall mounted clothes hanging rail and a wall mounted television.
• The first room on the right is a family sized bathroom with a bath-shower, a basin and a toilet. The room has slate flooring throughout and is adequality lit.
• The master bedroom is at the far left of the landing with a wall mounted TV, wall mounted bedside lights, a chest of drawers and a king sized bed.
• The bunk room is opposite the master bedroom with two single built in bunk beds. There are built in shelves, a television and some LED lights stuck to the underneath of the beds.

Departure

• Check-out is strictly by 9am.
• On departure, one set of keys are to be left inside the property and the other set are to be returned to the key safe.
• You are asked to leave the cottage clean and tidy, any unreasonable additional cleaning required may be charged for.
