The house met and exceeded all of our expectations!
The view is spectacular for those of us that like watching the tide rise and fall and generally just looking.
Very relaxing. Very well equipped and in good order. Usual, unfortunately, trashing of furniture by using the arm rests as drink stands but you cannot overcome peoples lack of care and foresight.
We will be back. We are fortunate that there are zero time constraints so we can take opportunity of discounted prices at a few days notice.
Two people in an 8 person accommodation is like being at home.
Superb view
Fantastic to be able to sit out on the balcony (even though it was a bit blowy this week 🙂 ) and watch the sun rise & set. Can not fault the service we received. Thanks for a memorable week
This is our second visit!
My 85 year old dad has been coming to St Ives for over 60 years & has never experienced anything as good as Harbour Lights previously. This property never disappoints, even the changeable weather was enjoyable to observe from the spectacular window over St Ives.
We love everything about Harbour Lights!
Perfect location, stunning views! The house has everything you could possibly need and Cherished Cottages are always very helpful.

Really lovely house!
Great views, modern comforts & excellent value for money. Would love to return.
Fantastic views, beautifully appointed and worth every penny!
We stayed in August 2019 and had a fantastic time at Harbour Lights. The view out across Porthminster beach to St Ives harbour is stunning. It’s a beautiful sight to see first thing in the morning and a great view to have when you are relaxing or eating.
What’s more, the beach is only five minutes away down the footpath, so whether it’s an early-morning swim or basking in the late afternoon sun that you prefer, you are only moments away from home. (Admittedly, it’s a climb back up the hill, but this is Cornwall, and it keeps you fit and healthy.)
If you need refreshment on the way, the Porthminster Beach Café is right there for you – and it’s consistently good. And St Ives town in only a short walk away.
Harbour Lights is beautifully appointed and decorated. It’s a delight to stay there and with a washing machine and tumble dryer, it’s easy to keep on top of domestic matters. The kitchen is excellent – making the very best use of all space available and equipped with the very best equipment. The beds are really comfortable. There are two very nice bathrooms and an additional loo. The WiFi is just fine.
What’s also nice is that, up there on the hill, you are close to town, but away from the hustle and bustle. And the position of the house on the road into St Ives from Carbis Bay, and the provision of two very secure car parking spaces, means that you can get in and out very easily. Tesco is only a quick jaunt up the road. You could even walk it – and call in at the Cornish Arms on your way.
One big additional bonus is the availability of a secure padlocked storage cage for the house in the garage. There is room here to stow a couple of bikes and / or bodyboards / wetsuits, and it is perfectly secure. This means there is no need to have your gear cluttering up (and messing up) the house.
We have stayed in five different houses or apartments in St Ives in the past five years and this is easily our favourite. It is not cheap, but it is worth it, and as it accommodates eight people and is so well-equipped and convenient, in terms of overall value, it’s excellent.
Cherished Cottages look after you very well indeed. The payment terms are simple, and the instructions given are clear. Anything you want, they are there for you.
Thank you for everything!
A perfect few days here – it was difficult to leave the beautiful view and comfort of home away every day! The bag of Cornish goodies was an absolute treat.
From the moment you arrive at Harbour Lights, you start to relax!
The house is beautiful, well laid out and has everything you need. A real “wow” factor. The view which you take in from the superb corner sofa & balcony is simply wonderful 🙂
Thank you for a lovely break!
We enjoyed it as much this time as we did last year! The property is beautifully presented and the view must be one of the best in St Ives!
Introduction
3 The View is a beautiful new contemporary house located on the Porthminster side of St Ives, Cornwall. The View is located off Trelyon Avenue and has easy access to the coastal path. Access to St Ives’ shops and restaurants is a 5–10 minute walk and once in St Ives the gradient is more gentle and very soon becomes a moderately level access to the shops, restaurants and beaches.
