Cornwall’s Best Beaches: Your Ultimate Coastal Adventure!
One thing’s for sure in Cornwall—you’re never far from a spectacular beach. Whether you fancy a golden sandy stretch, a hidden pebbly cove, sheltered sailing waters or tranquil estuaries, this magical county has them all. With over 300 beaches along its rugged and rolling coastline, there really is something for everyone. And from your base in beautiful St Ives, many are within easy reach—perfect for a day of beach-hopping and salty-air adventures.
Head north along the Atlantic coast or venture to the gentler south coast facing the English Channel. Most beaches are within an hour’s drive from St Ives, but many can be reached by bike or on foot via the glorious South West Coast Path. Quieter coves await those willing to wander a little further. Just don’t forget your swimmers, a hearty picnic, plenty of water, suncream, and your sense of adventure!
