20 Piazza, which can sleep up to six including two guests on a small double sofa bed on the mezzanine floor, has undergone an extensive refurbishment offering a high quality open plan living arrangement. The apartment has been spectacular!
From the initial amazement on opening the front door to see the wonderful apartment but particularly “that view” of the sea, we have loved every moment. The location couldn’t have been more perfect with the private access to the beach and the closeness of the town. And the fresh roses and the Welcome Hamper were a delightful extra touch. Don’t want to leave 🙁

Fantastic apartment with outstanding views of Porthmeor
Perfectly located for easy access to harbour, shops and restaurants. We can’t wait to return to No 20! Booking via website very easy and no collecting of keys as there is a keybox outside of the property which is very helpful. Hamper was a nice touch too, and gratefully received.

We have been coming to 20 Piazza for several years – and love it!
The flat is wonderful and as usual is comfortable. It benefits from a balcony over Porthmeor Beach, which is always a good view even with the horrendous weather we had this week. Cherished Cottages are brilliant and make booking very easy. We can’t recommend 20 Piazza & Cherished enough! Thank you!

Introduction
20 Piazza is a large duplex apartment set over 2 floors plus a mezzanine level. Piazza is a highly regarded complex situated on the renowned Porthmeor surfing beach, with private beach access underneath the apartments. Piazza is accessed from Back Road West and number 20 is on the third floor walking up 47 steps. On reaching the apartment, you will be greeted by unrivalled sea views across the entirety of Porthmeor beach and beyond.
The apartment opens up into an open plan modern kitchen, diner and lounge. The kitchen is a lovely spacious, well equipped area with plenty of storage for food and other items. Walking through the kitchen past the dining area takes you into the lounge where there is a huge L shaped sofa facing a TV or the spectacular views over the balcony from one end of Porthmeor beach to the other. From the RHS of the lounge there are 13 carpeted stairs leading up to the mezzanine which has laminate flooring and large rug. This area offers a double sofa bed, flat screen tv with DVD player, and plenty of books and games for you to look through. There is a second balcony from the mezzanine with roof top views of St Ives, the outside bin is also stored here. The bedrooms are located on the lower floor accessed from the dining/kitchen area are down 15 carpeted stairs. There is a king size shower ensuite bedroom immediately at the bottom of the stairs with spectacular views of Porthmeor beach, and then lastly there is a large twin bedroom and a family size bathroom.
We aim to meet the needs of all of our guests, however, due to the location of the apartment this may make access difficult for guests with limited mobility and the apartment is considered unsuitable for wheelchair users. If you do require a wheelchair friendly property, please contact the Cherished where we can best advise you.
Pre-arrival
- Should you require a Tesco food delivery or for a satellite navigation system, the postcode is TR26 1NQ. Please note: for a Tesco delivery please ensure it is booked to be delivered after 4pm when you are there to receive it.
- 20 Piazza is situated on Back Road West and easily accessed by car.
- 20 Piazza is located on Porthmeor beach which is accessed by a gate exclusively for use by Piazza guests situated underneath the apartments.
- The main center of St Ives is located 400 metres away.
- The nearest shop is located 20 metres away.
- The nearest supermarket (Tesco) is located 1 mile away.
- The bus and train stations are located ½ a mile away, plenty of taxi’s are available from both stations.
- The apartment has an electric central heating and hot water system. Guests are able to control the timing of this using the device in the kitchen. Electric fuse board is located in the cupboard in the twin bedroom.
- The duvets and pillows are man-made with quality bed linen and towels.
- All beds have mattress and pillow protectors.
- The apartment is strictly non-smoking.
- There are smoke detectors and a fire procedure in place.
Arrival and car parking facilities
- There are keys are located in a key safe, full details and the safe code are provided prior to your holiday.
- Please be advised that arrival time is strictly 4pm onwards.
- Rubbish hoppers are also situated on the ground floor near the parking area.
- On arrival there will be a Welcome Hamper including Cornish provisions, tea bags, ground coffee, milk and fresh flowers to get you started, however, we recommend that you shop at one of the superstore (Lidl, M&S or Tesco) on your way into St Ives.
- There is no parking for 20 Piazza
Kitchen and living area
- The kitchen flooring is slate tiles leading to laminate flooring in the dining and lounge area.
- The sink, hob and worktop height is 90cm.
- The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, a full size dishwasher, an under counter fridge with ice box, a microwave, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
- There is plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses for 6 guests for all occasions and we will provide you with tea towels, an oven glove, an apron, enough bin liners, dishwasher and clothes washing tablets to get you started.
- The kitchen/dining room are adequately lit.
- There is a dining table seating 6 adults.
- The lounge has a corner sofa and an easy chair, comfortably seating up to 6 adults. There is a flat screen TV with Freeview. DVD and sound bar.
- WIFI (access details are contained in the apartment manual).
Balconies
- The front balcony leading from the lounge measures 365cm by 170cm with safety glass frontage measuring 90cm.
- The rear balcony leading from the mezzanine measures 380cm by 250cm, with obscured glass screen height 90cm.
- The balcony has been fitted with safety glass. As with balconies generally, young children should not be allowed on the balcony without adult supervision.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
- Carpeted stairway down to laminated hallway and bedrooms.
- The king bedroom has a huge window opposite to the entrance to the bedroom filling it with light and amazing panoramic views of the beach and the Atlantic. The bedroom has plenty of storage having 2 wardrobes and cupboard storage above those, two beside tables with lamps and a chest of drawers. A TV with freeview rests on the chest of drawers at the end of the bed.
- The en-suite shower room has an enclosed shower unit with rain shower. There is a light sensor and heated towel rail.
- The twin room has two full size single beds, bedside table and lamp with wardrobe space and a chest of drawers, hairdryer.
- The duvets and pillows are man-made fibers.
- The family bathroom is off the hallway and has a full size bath with a rain shower over the bath. There is a light sensor and heated towel rail.
Departure
- Check-out is strictly by 9am.
- On departure, one set of keys are to be left inside the property and the other set are to be returned to the key safe.
- You are asked to leave the house clean and tidy, as any unreasonable additional cleaning required may be charged for.
