St Ives September Festival 2018

Here at Cherished Cottages we are proud to welcome guests from all over the world to the very popular St Ives September Arts Festival. This fabulously quirky, eclectic festival started way back in 1978, and it still is the place to be and the thing to do as Summer slips into Autumn here in St Ives.  The days are long and light, and the sea is at its warmest, perfect for a cultural break (and a cheeky day or two on the beach)! This year the Festival runs from 8th to 22nd of September, consisting of 15 fun filled days!  Both starting and ending with a concert: the first on the 8th of September from Seth Lakeman (classic folk-rock musician) and the finale on  22nd with Breabach (amazing Celtic Folk Group) both of these events are being held at the Guildhall, St Ives.

In between these two dates the town will host musicians, visual arts, poetry & literature readings, cultural walks, theatre, cinema, open studios and much, much more!  With at least 200 events you will be able to hear all types of music from jazz to classical, and visit many of the artists in their own studios.  Lots of the events are free to attend on the streets and beaches of St Ives, but advance booking is always advised for the main events in the Guildhall.   Venues include local pubs, galleries and beaches – the Church even joins in!

For more information, and to book those all-important tickets, the festival has its own Website and Facebook page (which are constantly being updated)*

To enjoy the Festival at it’s fullest, why not come down and stay with us in one of our stunning properties in the heart of St Ives – in the middle all of the action?  We still have some availability during the two important weeks.  Why not give our friendly team a call in the office for more information on 01736-490640, we look forward to hearing from you! 🙂
