With February half term fast approaching, St Ives is busy getting ready to welcome back it’s many seasonal visitors, for what is traditionally one of the quieter holidays in the calendar year, enabling you to explore St Ives and the wonderful surrounding area much more easily without the crowds! There is plenty to do in this pretty little town, to entertain guests of all ages in every type of weather.
For the adventurous among you, on a fair weather day, why not take the whole family on a two hour long treasure trail around St Ives! Simply download the map and follow the route solving the clues as you go!
If the weather isn’t so good take advantage of a couple of indoor activities. The Leach Pottery is offering two wonderful “Clay Days” during February half term for all the family to try their hands at pottery, or, for the “sweet toothed” and “chocoholics” among you Coco Kitchen are now offering a bespoke Chocolate Workshop where you will have your own purpose-made work-space and tools to help you indulge and make your own delicious chocolates – and if you are still peckish after this, pop into their café selling Hot Chocolate, Ice Cream, Coffee, Milkshakes and Bakes.
Beyond St Ives for a lovely day out there are many fabulous attractions to explore all within an hours drive of St Ives…….
Why not visit the Eden Project? Explore the Biomes and enjoy it’s Winter Ice Skating Rink for some guaranteed fun! Nearby there are the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Trebah and Trelissick Gardens to explore, or closer to home we have the lovely Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens.
